This morning, the Lord took me back to the River Arnon and indicated we were not finished with the topic. He pointed out again how king Sihon and all who were with him were drawn out onto the battle field at Jahaz, which means 'threshing floor', before being conquered.  He reminded me about the verse which speaks about multitudes being in the valley of decision. The Hebrew word translated 'decision' actually means ' threshing sledge'. So multitudes are in a valley of threshing where they must make a decision whom they will serve, and I am reminded of the cry of Elijah, "Why do you halt (or limp) between two opinions? If Baal is god, serve him but if the Lord is God serve Him". The word 'tribulation' also means 'threshing sledge". Saints, pray for those who are vacillating in this valley as severe trouble breaks out, that they would choose life; that they would choose Christ.

Then Father gave me a word which I bring to you with a very heavy heart:

I was shown the streets of New York. Rats with red eyes were pouring out of the sewers , filling the streets and running up buildings. They threw rocks and bricks and petrol bombs and smoke rose from the city skyline. And God said:

"This city will burn and I will not quench its fire. I am weary of the stench of its sin rising to My nostrils. And the harlot who stands at the gate of this city, the one who calls herself 'I will do as I please', that idol who offers liberty but gives enslavement and debauchery, she will fall and not rise again. And this vile city with its bull and its peep shows will be reduced to ashes. For I have heard the cries of children kept in cages for middle-aged politicians to have their way with them. I have heard them weeping for their mothers and the stench of this city I will tolerate no more. Though I have raised up righteous prophets in their midst who cried warning after warning, and though I have brought prophets from across the sea at great personal cost to themselves, to cry out on street corners and call this city to repentance, they have not heeded My voice. They have turned their hard hearts and harlot's foreheads away and said, 'Who is God that He should tell us what to do? We will do as we please. We will profit off the pain of others and we will gather our treasure into our barns. We will expand to the right and to the left, for great is our country and great is our future. WE are the carvers of our own destinies, and we will rise and rise and rise and all the earth will bow before our greatness!' Therefore I will not spare or have mercy on these streets. As they have bred their offspring for wickedness, so shall they taste the bitter fruit of wickedness".

 

I was so disturbed by His words and asked, "But Lord, what about Your people in this city?"

 

"I will take one from a city and two from a family and I will draw them unto Myself and I will send angels to hasten their flight out of sin-city even as the gavel of judgement is falling. I will give them their lives for a prey, but they will escape with just the shirts on their backs, humble and grateful to be spared.

How long must I endure the stench of this city? No, it will consume itself from within for it is a leprous house and there is no healing for its infected walls. Its stones and timber will I burn to the ground. And all who pass by and gaze at the smoke rising from the ashes will know that there is a God in Heaven Who calls men to holiness."

 

"Father, when?" I asked.

 

"Has it not begun? Do you not see the sewers spewing forth the foot-soldiers of Lawlessness? Oh yes, he brings his armies to the streets now, displaying his strength and power. Did I not say that Sihon would come out with all who support him? Behold the ranks of the defiled. Behold the foot-soldiers of the mind-controller - pawns in a vast plot to take My throne. He'll try... but history will repeat itself. And the final casting down will be mighty and FINAL."

 

Deu 2:32  Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.

 

1Ki 18:21  Elijah came near to all the people and said, How long will you halt and limp between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him! But if Baal, then follow him. And the people did not answer him a word.

 

Joe 3:14  Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

 

2Co 6:14  Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?

 

2Pe 2:7  And He rescued righteous Lot, greatly worn out and distressed by the wanton ways of the ungodly and lawless--

 

2Th 2:3  Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition), 2Th 2:4  Who opposes and exalts himself so proudly and insolently against and over all that is called God or that is worshiped, [even to his actually] taking his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God.

 

 

 Lev 14:44  Then the priest shall come and look, and if the disease is spreading in the house, it is a rotting or corroding leprosy in the house; it is unclean. Lev 14:45  He shall tear down the house--its stones and its timber and all the plaster or mortar of the house--and shall carry them forth out of the city to an unclean place.

 

Eze 28:16  Through the abundance of your commerce you were filled with lawlessness and violence, and you sinned; therefore I cast you out as a profane thing from the mountain of God and the guardian cherub drove you out from the midst of the stones of fire. Eze 28:17  Your heart was proud and lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I lay you before kings, that they might gaze at you. Eze 28:18  You have profaned your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities and the enormity of your guilt, by the unrighteousness of your trade. Therefore I have brought forth a fire from your midst; it has consumed you, and I have reduced you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who looked at you. Eze 28:19  All who know you among the people are astonished and appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and shall never return to being.

 

Mat 24:12  And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity, Mat 24:13  But he who endures to the end will be saved.

 

2Th 2:7  For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world, [but it is] restrained only until he who restrains is taken out of the way.

2Th 2:8  And then the lawless one (the antichrist) will be revealed and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of His mouth and bring him to an end by His appearing at His coming. 2Th 2:9  The coming [of the lawless one, the antichrist] is through the activity and working of Satan and will be attended by great power and with all sorts of [pretended] miracles and signs and delusive marvels--[all of them] lying wonders-- 2Th 2:10  And by unlimited seduction to evil and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing (going to perdition) because they did not welcome the Truth but refused to love it that they might be saved. 2Th 2:11  Therefore God sends upon them a misleading influence, a working of error and a strong delusion to make them believe what is false, 2Th 2:12  In order that all may be judged and condemned who did not believe in [who refused to adhere to, trust in, and rely on] the Truth, but [instead] took pleasure in unrighteousness.

 

Mal 4:1  FOR BEHOLD, the day comes that shall burn like an oven, and all the proud and arrogant, yes, and all that do wickedly and are lawless, shall be stubble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
