What Do You See?
Audio Version HERE
On the 7th November 2020, I was singing, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, worthy now to rule and to reign" and the Lord began to speak;
"Yes, I Am worthy. And now the seals are breaking. Does a man open a scroll inch by inch? NO!"
And I see seals breaking one after the other, like a row of buttons popping off a shirt—quickly!
He continues speaking, "I am hasty to display what I have entitled My Beloved with. I have waited so long and held My peace. But NOW…"
And I see an orderly army on horses moving into place. They carry banners of many colors, not unfurled yet but held firmly in their right hands, and their horses are white and the bridles have bells on, as if it is a feast or celebration of some kind that they ride to attend. (Isaiah 30:29 comes to mind and Zech 14:20)
Isa 30:29 You shall have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart as when one marches in procession with a flute to go to the temple on the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.
Zec 14:20 In that day there shall be [written] upon the [little] bells on the horses, HOLY TO THE LORD, and the pots in the Lord's house shall be holy to the Lord like the bowls before the altar.
"Oh how I have longed for this day when My righteous judgments are displayed in the earth. I come to reveal Myself—is that not what John wrote about—the Revelation of Me? Oh how men love to see the darkness rather than the light, even among my Church. How they love to turn the pages and study the darkness. They are like those who gaze up at the night sky and focus fully on the dark background against which I display My stars. Do they not see how precisely I have positioned each one?"
And psalm 19 comes to mind, where the stars speak forth but men do not hear what they say.
Psa 19:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. THE HEAVENS declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows and proclaims His handiwork. Psa 19:2 Day after day pours forth speech, and night after night shows forth knowledge. Psa 19:3 There is no speech nor spoken word [from the stars]; their voice is not heard. Psa 19:4 Yet their voice [in evidence] goes out through all the earth, their sayings to the end of the world.
"Can you not hear the sound of My approaching glory, daughter? Can you not hear the stars singing for joy as the night deepens? The Sun of Righteousness makes His tabernacle in the heavens, amongst His wise ones. They do not need the light of the sun or the moon, because I Am their light and I Am the Source of all their wisdom. They pour forth knowledge. They declare My glory, not the darkness of the night. They proclaim My handiwork, anchored in their appointed positions. They are not moved by the shaking on earth. Though mountains tremble and oceans roar, those who are My city are filled with gladness as I tabernacle in their midst."
Psa 46:4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. Psa 46:5 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early [at the dawn of the morning].
"Stand firm, My Beloved, fix your eyes on your soon coming King. Nations rage and kingdoms fall and My voice thunders throughout the earth, but you, My precious ones, exceedingly valuable in My sight, be still. For your Bridegroom comes—and I WILL be exalted in the earth!"
As He says He comes, I see a great stormy cloud, churned up and menacing, moving rapidly towards me at the level of the horizon. But as I lift my eyes higher, I see it is only the dust cloud stirred up by the thundering hooves of the Bridegroom as He rides speedily to claim His Bride. And a misty, yet weighty blanket of peace settles over my heart. And I see all the uproar in the earth is an attempt to slow and prevent His arrival. I see men propping up ceilings of the wicked schemes they have built. I see them desperately trying to hold together the sloping sides of a pyramid but the shakings continue and the blocks are just falling down anyway. Great cracks appear in the earth and these men are tumbling down, down, down into the depths, still clutching the giant blocks. They are screaming and cursing God as they fall, until finally their voices are silenced. And I hear the words of a song being sung that the Spirit taught me a little while back:
Behold He comes
and He's a Man of War
With eyes of fire
and His lightning sword.
The Day of the Lord
is at hand
And He will not delay,
Lift up your heads, o you gates!
He's on His way!
Arise and shine,
all you saints of God.
Your Bridegroom comes
with His sure reward.
The Day of the Lord
is at hand
and you will weep no more.
He is coming on the clouds.
He's at the door!
And so, ultimately, as you gaze on what is unfolding around you, the Spirit asks you the same question He asked Jeremiah, "What do you see?" See well, Beloved Remnant. See Him watching over His Word to perform it. See Him riding on the clouds towards you.
Rev 19:11 After that I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse [appeared]! The One Who was riding it is called Faithful (Trustworthy, Loyal, Incorruptible, Steady) and True, and He passes judgment and wages war in righteousness (holiness, justice, and uprightness). Rev 19:12 His eyes [blaze] like a flame of fire, and on His head are many kingly crowns (diadems); and He has a title (name) inscribed which He alone knows or can understand. Rev 19:13 He is dressed in a robe dyed by dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God. Rev 19:14 And the troops of heaven, clothed in fine linen, dazzling and clean, followed Him on white horses.
Deu 33:26 There is none like God, O Jeshurun, Who rides through the heavens to your help and in His majestic glory through the skies.
Psa 68:33 [Sing praises] to Him Who rides upon the heavens, the ancient heavens; behold, He sends forth His voice, His mighty voice. Psa 68:34 Ascribe power and strength to God; His majesty is over Israel, and His strength and might are in the skies. Psa 68:35 O God, awe-inspiring, profoundly impressive, and terrible are You out of Your holy places; the God of Israel Himself gives strength and fullness of might to His people. Blessed be God!

But these are very deep things Christine, regarding the Old Covenant. When Christ was resurrected the New Covenant came into force. That is partly what we are seeing when Jesus opens the seals. It is AD 33 and he has shed his blood to enforce the New Covenant. It is very deep and I am not going to explain it all. But I'll leave a clue for those who want to seek deeper
Hebrews 9
15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
Really the seals were popped long ago Christine:
Rev 22:10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near.
Rev 6:6 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals.
I understand I think what is meant here though. Revelation is very complex
I hear you Christine. Mind you, if the seals are popping like mustard seeds in the pan, then Jesus will be returning in short order, (days and weeks by the sound of it). I'm all for that of course, we all are.
However I am understanding the unsealing, like you, as the revelation of Jesus Christ, rather than the unleashing of the particular judgment. What I mean by this is that the judgments were released long ago, but the meaning is only now coming into the light, being revealed. John said that if all Jesus's actions were written of, then the books would fill the whole world, which means that Jesus can do, and of course has done, innumerable things that we are unaware of. The same principle holds with the seals. Jesus has already acted, but now we unfold the book and understand his actions, we understand more and more his perfection, his character.
God, the Archer is also in Zechariah when He bends Judah as His bow and fits it with Ephraim and pits the sons of Zion against the sons of Greece.
Marcus, there are so many interpretations of the Book of Revelation and I am continually reminded these days of what the Lord said to me on Aug 29th:
"Do not doubt My Word when your understanding of its unfolding is readjusted. Men see through a glass darkly but I would have you see face to face."
So I have determined to lay down any rigid understandings I have picked up along the way, be it through other's teachings or my own study, and I now await His readjustment to see more clearly. In other words, to hear Him say, "This is that which was spoken of ..." when an event unfolds. Then I can go back to the reference He has given me and get more clarity of what it is really referring to.
What the Lord said about the seals breaking quickly one after the other is an example of that, as it changes any perception that these seals take centuries to be broken one after the other. This is a new thought I am pondering now because it sounds to me like He is giving understanding that once He starts breaking the seals on the scroll, there will be very little time between each horse release, and that once open, they will all be riding the earth together—describing a season containing famine, war, pestilence, death all at once.
Re your song Christine. It of course reminds us of the Song Of Moses Deuteronomy 32. It's all super important but regarding the archer on the white horse. Toxon is used in the LXX, the Septuagint, to mean archer, quiver, bow and arrows, or even just arrows, so anything about a bow without an arrow is a total red herring. This is God the archer from the Song Of Moses.
V23:
I will add misfortunes to them;
I will use up My arrows on them....
V42:
I will make My arrows drunk with blood
The point being that the imminency, the time that is at hand and that is soon to come to pass, is the time pertaining to the prophecy.
Rev 1:3 - Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
22:10 - And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
The prophecy of course are the seals of God which Jesus opens in AD33. They are imminent because Israel had 40 years, like Nineveh's 40 days, and like the Church in the Sinai wilderness, to repent. John The Baptist came in AD 26 and preached 3.5 years, as an Elijah. 40 years after his ministry, in AD 66, time was up and Rome invaded Judea. So the imminency is the 40 years, now obviously 33 years from AD33 to AD 66 for Israel to repent. Thereafter it is judgment time.
Revelation is just so complex - if only the true Church would study it in unison - we might get somewhere!! The time-frames are complex. Jesus ascended to heaven after his crucifixion, AD 33. So when John goes through a door in heaven, (Rev 4:1) he is seeing the events on Christ's ascension, (Praise the Lord!). ' “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.” ' Jesus triumphed in AD 33 (Hallellujah, praise his holy name.) So it is from AD33 that events are imminent - en tachos, 'soon', engys, 'imminent'. But when Jesus talks to John at the start of Revelation that is in real time, AD 95-96, which is provable in various ways, the simplest and clearest to me being that Jehovah Father has already avenged Israel for his son, he has already smashed Jerusalem to pieces (Jeremiah 17).
Revelation 2:26 (KJV) 26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Personally I understand the first 4 seals as judgments on the Jews, 3 are historically over. But God is only now opening and unsealing them, as per Daniel 12, as everything has been sealed until the very end - i.e it is only know that we are allowed to understand how they have worked out through history, and God's overarching plan. Hence also why the time is 'close to hand' - seal 1 kicked off in John's day. The white horse was God judging Israel through the Romans.
Lev 26 And I will bring the sword on you to avenge the breaking of the covenant. When you withdraw into your cities, I will send a plague among you, and you will be given into enemy hands....32 I myself will lay waste the land.
The white horse is actually the Lord in judgment , judging his people. Back in AD70 that consisted of the Romans smashing Judea, the Temple, and shattering the power of the holy people. Daniel 12 verse 7
