For 3 weeks in December, I heard absolutely nothing from the Lord - no visions, no dreams, no waking me up with a cryptic phrase, no specific scriptures popping up in my heart. I began to wonder if I was suffering from spiritual burnout after writing 4 books in one year. I bound and loosed, prayed in tongues, asked for prayer from close friends - but nothing changed. Then one day, I sat down and said, "Lord, what the heck is going on? Is this an attack?" He responded by giving me a vision.

Before me was a horizon with a clear starry night sky. There was no sound attached to the vision. Then I saw a giant hand holding a person, who looked a bit like a mummy as there were no limbs or outlines of features, hair, etc. This person or form was a blue-ish color and the hand placed the form deliberately to one side in the heavenly realm, to the left of the stars. I knew it was God's hand doing the placing and it reminded me of being placed 'on the shelf' in a sense, out of the sphere of activity amongst the stars.

"What am I seeing, Lord?" I asked, wondering if He would even speak as He had been quiet for so long. And He said quietly, "I have set you aside until you become perfectly still in your deepest being. Then, when I speak, every fiber of your being will resonate with what I speak. You will carry My pure sound". Then I suddenly remembered having asked Him to make me a carrier of a pure sound some weeks before. Unknowingly, He had taken me at my word and answered immediately by setting the process in motion to bring me to that condition.

 

Straight after this, I saw a tuning fork being set in motion and releasing a pure note. He explained, "That note is middle C" and many other instruments will tune their strings according to that clear note. I was so grateful that my previous weeks' silent spiritual experience was not a sign something was wrong with me and so began to still my heart and thoughts to the best of my ability, resting in the knowledge that Heaven's process was underway. I began to research the tuning fork in order to better understand what He was doing deep within me (I discuss what I discovered further on). I thought of Elijah, set aside at the Brook Cherith while he was being forged into a vessel which carried a pure sound as opposed to the discordant cacophony of the many prophets of Baal. A pure sound in harmony with Heaven was paramount. Too much muddy water has been released over the Church with a prophetic label attached and the roots of the spirit that drives Babylon are riddled with mixture. Most importantly, stillness and close proximity to the throne are the prerequisites of becoming a conductor of pure sound.

 

Soon after these two visions, I was wondering about God's thoughts for 2020 and He instructed me not to read any other prophetic words that were being released about the year ahead. I understood this was connected to bringing a pure sound. If I added into my vessel words that others were bringing, these would bring about mixture and cloudiness to what God was intending to fill me with - not that all other words were necessarily muddy water, but with the level of counterfeit on the loose these days, God did not want any contamination of soulish speech to taint my appointed metron of sound and light.

 

To emphasize this point, He indicated a very well-known prophetic ministry and quietly stated, "She is crossing over".  "From where to where?" was my immediate question. "From light into darkness..." He responded, and I remembered the prophetic word of Stanley Frodsham about the introduction of end-time deception. To paraphrase his message, he was shown that ministers would speak words of truth and gather many followers who would admire them greatly. Then they would begin to speak truth mixed with error and the listeners would say, "What this person said before was true, so this must also be true!" And this is how counterfeit light would begin to permeate the prophetic arena.

 

Understanding the Tuning Fork Vision

A tuning fork is an acoustic resonator in the form of a two-pronged fork with the prongs formed from a U-shaped bar of elastic metal. It resonates at a specific constant pitch when set vibrating by striking it against a surface or with an object, and emits a pure musical tone once the high overtones fade out.

Traditionally, this tool has been used to tune musical instruments. Tuning forks work by releasing a perfect wave pattern to match a musician's instrument. A tuning fork has a number engraved on it, which signifies the frequency of the tuning fork in Hz.

If X-rays are in short supply, doctors will use tuning forks to identify whether a bone is fractured or not. Doctors do this by simply striking a tuning fork and placing the vibrating fork close to the affected area. In the medical profession, tuning forks remain a preferred method of testing for certain types of hearing loss.

This is an important point to note because much of the Body has become dull of hearing and there are many points of fracture amongst the limbs of the Body. The tuning forks He is preparing to use in the days ahead will reveal the true nature of the condition of the Body.

One website stated: 'Every time you strike a tuning fork, you’re setting off a tiny, invisible hurricane. Thrashing back and forth at tremendous speeds, the two prongs of the fork, known as 'tines,' are smashing against nearby air molecules, kicking off a chain of impacts that echo through the air. When these violent, microscopic collisions hit your eardrum, your brain processes them as a gentle hum. The ends of the tuning fork (called the tines) move in simple harmonic motion when struck.'

When I read this, I understood as never before how important it is to release a pure sound in these days. The extent of spiritual influence that is unleashed into the atmosphere is phenomenal. There is a chain reaction which one cannot see with the natural eye and all who hear are directly impacted. Are you releasing a hurricane of dark sound or a hurricane of light?

This allegory is primarily for those used in the prophetic, for leaders who speak on His behalf and who move ahead of the flock. We must release a sound in perfect harmony with the mouth of God, when we act as His messengers. The waiting period at the threshold of this next chapter is the forging period. Is God testing your mettle in these days? Has He set you aside? Perhaps, He is cutting out any part of your spiritual makeup which would interfere with the pure sound He intends your vessel to release. We are His instruments, each one who is being forged as a tuning fork, and we are not all going to emit the same note on the scale. Each must release the note the Creator and Conductor of the symphony desires - and to do this, we must become completely still in His presence, stilling every other voice that has contributed in the past.

In essence, the Ancient of Days upon the throne acts as a tuning fork for our spiritual ear. We must align ourselves completely as His instrument to the pure sound emerging from the throne; the clear message which He is speaking; no extra little sounds thrown in by our natural understanding.

Co 14:7  Yet lifeless things giving a sound, whether flute or harp, if they do not give a distinction in the sound, how will it be known what is being piped or harped? 1Co 14:8  For also if a trumpet gives an uncertain sound, who will get himself ready for war? 

The King James calls it an 'indistinct' sound. Clarity and uniformity of the voice which is emitted from your vessel is paramount. You cannot be releasing middle C one day and A minor the next. God is busy forging highly specialized weapons of war who will release their sound unwaveringly from their God-given position on the stave, in order for the whole endtime symphony to be heard in the earthly realm. You will not clash with another member of the Bridal Remnant if you just stick to your appointed metron.

A tuning fork only has to be struck once in order to unlock the sound it carries within. When Moses struck the rock twice, he was causing interference in the clear sound of the living waters which flowed from the rock, Christ. Two strikes releases sound waves that are not in sync with the vibration of the tuning forks and so it presents a distorted undulating sound.

If two tuning forks are set next to each other, striking the one will cause the other to release the same sound even without being struck, just because of the action of the sound waves beating against the prongs of the stationary fork. However, if the second one has a weight attached to it, it releases a different sound which interferes with the wave pattern of the first, producing a beat sound, so that the resultant note is indistinct. Do you have weights attached? What are you carrying in your backpack, beloved? It will cause you to be out of harmony with Heaven if you do not lay it down right now at the start of this New Year. How important it is to set aside the weights of the past year, unforgiveness, hope deferred and every sin that so easily besets us. All these things will greatly impact the course and style of this lap that lies before you. Forget what lies behind. Press forward.

Heb 12:1  Therefore since we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Heb 12:2  looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God.

That word 'patience' is also translated 'endurance, constancy'. The sound you are appointed to release into the season ahead must be held long; it has to be heard clearly and unambiguously until the end of your appointed race. It must not wax and wane as others are looking to you to provide them with an unchanging compass needle to which they can chart their courses. You must be able to utterly pour out all the sound you contain, without interruption or deviation of pitch. This is why you must forget every other lesser goal and fix your eyes and ears upon Jesus alone. He is to be our all in all. As Paul so eloquently stated:

 

Php 3:12  Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own. Php 3:13  I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, Php 3:14  I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

The next interesting thing I discovered concerns the two identical branches or 'tines' of the tuning fork. The word 'tine' is not often used these days. It has several meanings. As a noun, it means 'the tooth of a fork' and initially, all forks were designed with only two teeth. A forks task was to pierce and secure a portion of food in order to convey it to the mouth. A tuning fork aligned to the mouth of God will securely provide a stream of nourishment to the one it is feeding. God is busy crafting and tuning a set of forks in alignment with the banquet of endtime spiritual nourishment He plans to feed to the woman who flees to the wilderness to escape the flood of the dragon (Rev 12).

The word 'tine' as a noun also means 'tare', so be aware that the enemy of our souls also has tuning forks releasing dark sound and dark light in order to lead the deceived out of the ranks of the Body and straight to take their places as part of the army of Antichrist. Remember Jesus told a parable about tares being sown amongst the good seed. It is at the time of harvest, that the tares are gathered into bundles. Birds of a feather gather together. Which note are you tuning your instrument to? Did it originally emerge from the mouth of God or is it flowing from the mouth of the dragon? Cry out for greater discernment, more light, that you may be able to tell which messages released in the days have their origin in the father of lies. He peddles a form of wisdom that is attractive but has its roots in sorcery and the occult. Study again the simplicity, the clear sound, which Jesus released in the days of His earthly ministry that you may be able to discern when a sound is off-key. Spend much time in prayer and ask that the Spirit of Truth would lead you into all truth. Remember the word of Stanley Frodsham I mentioned above. Some prophetic ministries are taking on board darkness disguised as advanced and upmarket light. They may have been pure in past seasons, but this is not an indication that you should just swallow everything they regurgitate in these days. Test all things against the plumbline of the unchangeable Word of God. Cling to that which is good. Make sure you are not swallowing food laced with poison.

When used as a verb, 'tine' means to 'kindle' or 'set alight'. The inner vibration or sound which God's tuning forks carry will kindle a fire within its hearers. These tuning forks are fire-starters. As they become filled with the sound which the God Who is a consuming fire emits in these days, they too are ignited before release to impart the essence of the wavelength they carry. They will be consumed with a fiery zeal for the agenda of Heaven.

The verb 'tine' also means 'to shut in or enclose'. These divine tuning fork messengers release a sound that encircles and hedges in the saints who receive it. This is a protective sound, a sound of ownership. Just as the tuning fork has an engraving declaring its divine pitch, so too these instruments are sealed as those with perfect pitch. God knows those who are His. They have been forged into the true sayings of God, having been crafted into instruments who accurately depict the sound they heard from the throne. In these endtimes, God will have a company who releases the present-day thoughts and words of the One on the throne of the universe. Their message is not their own. They merely represent Heaven as sound carriers. John the Baptist said, "I am a voice - a sound - of one crying in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way of the Lord'". This final remnant company operating in the double portion of the spirit of Elijah will release a sound that completes the preparation of the Bridal Company as Her Groom approaches. It will be a trustworthy sound, a sound which provides a clear map of the narrow pathway to the heavenly Mount Zion. Align yourself with no other sound.
