The Double Portion Anointing March 2021

I want to discuss with you the fact that Jesus was anointed twice before He went to the cross. I wonder if you've ever picked that up. We know the story of the woman with alabaster box, who broke it and poured it on His feet. But He was also anointed another time, and we have heard much in this season about the double portion anointing that is coming– the priestly and the kingly  anointing, and I want to show you how it is demonstrated and displayed in the anointing of Jesus before He went to the cross.

Let's read about it. The 2 anointings took place in two different houses on two different days. One was on the feet and one was on the head, and that's a very important and significant difference.

Joh 12:1  SO SIX days before the Passover Feast, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had died and whom He had raised from the dead. Joh 12:2  So they made Him a supper; and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those at the table with Him. Joh 12:3  Mary took a pound of ointment of pure liquid nard [a rare perfume] that was very expensive, and she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped them with her hair. And the whole house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. Joh 12:4  But Judas Iscariot, the one of His disciples who was about to betray Him, said, Joh 12:5  Why was this perfume not sold for 300 denarii [a year's wages for an ordinary workman] and that [money] given to the poor (the destitute)? Joh 12:6  Now he did not say this because he cared for the poor but because he was a thief; and having the bag (the money box, the purse of the Twelve), he took for himself what was put into it [pilfering the collections]. Joh 12:7  But Jesus said, Let her alone. It was [intended] that she should keep it for the time of My preparation for burial.

So the first anointing took place in the house of Lazarus at Bethany, the house of Jesus' friends, and Lazarus, who had experienced resurrection power, was sitting at the table, eating with Jesus. Remember the word in Revelation 3,that He stands at the door and knocks – and if we will open, He will come and eat with us, and we with him. So the first anointing on the 8th Aviv, six days before Passover, was on the feet of Jesus. And it was done by Mary, the one who had come out of adultery and harlotry and was walking as a bond slave of the Lamb, even before He was slain. She took a pound of ointment, spikenard which was exceedingly expensive, and she anointed His feet. And it triggered the effect of filling the whole house with the fragrance!

Now first, let's look at spikenard. The word spikenard in the Greek means 'trustworthy or genuine' and comes from a root word which means 'moral conviction of truth, especially reliance on Christ'. So the fragrance she chose to pour out upon the feet of Jesus was saying, "you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. You are the Way the Truth and the Life, and I will follow You". So the first anointing is the noting of the priestly bondslave company, and it has an effect of filling the whole house; the house of Jesus' friends, being filled with the fragrance of Truth.

Now amongst the house of the friends of Jesus, there are the Judases. And they react to the smell of the fragrance of Truth. They criticise it; they criticise the actions of those who are bondslaves of the Lamb, but it's because of what is in their Heart. They have hearts of betrayal; hearts of murder; hearts of covetousness. So in this scenario, on the sixth day before Passover, there is quite a dichotomy displayed in the house of His friends. It is filled with His disciples, those who were walking with Him? There is one who has experienced resurrection power –he's at the table feasting with Jesus on the meat of the Word. And there is the bondslave bride, who is anointing the feet of Jesus and wiping it with her hair. In other words, the hair represents the anointing, your calling, your ministry. She's applying the ointment of Truth to the feet of Jesus, in preparation for what's ahead.

Now, the feet of Jesus also depict the intercessors, those who carry the weight of the whole Body, and take the Body of Christ where they are appointed to walk in the days ahead. So at this time, the remnant are being anointed with the oil of Truth; the oil of the revelation of Christ – the oil of spikenard. And this outpouring causes the whole house of His friends to be filled with the fragrance of Truth. Truth is in the atmosphere for the friends of Jesus. Breathe it in at this time — it is made available to you, the priestly bondslave company.

And as you use your gifting and calling to pour out worship upon the feet of Him who is the Way, the Truth and the Life, the enemies in your midst will be manifested.

The anointing gives you the power to walk as a bondslave in the path appointed in the days ahead. Now why did Jesus have these two anointings, which He said were for His burial? Well, His body was also anointed after death for burial... So these are not the same thing. These two anointings are the anointings of a living sacrifice – the double portion anointing on those who are living sacrifices, beginning the journey into the season of tribulation.

Jesus was focused on His Father's will, like the sights of a gun locked on the target, and nothing would distract him. He was slain before the foundation of the world. He knew the scriptures He had to fulfil. and He said, "My food is to do the will of Him  who sent Me and to complete it."

A lot that happened in the week before Passover and Jesus taught on quite a few things. It would be a good idea to read the Scriptures in the gospels about what occurred in the week before Passover, because the many nuggets of truth are in there for our time.

The second anointing took place on the twelfth of Aviv, two days before Passover, and we find that in Mark 14:3.

'and being in Bethany, in the house of Simon, the leper, as He sat eating, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard, very precious, and she broke the box and poured it on His head. And there were some that were indignant and said, why was this waste of ointment made?'

So, we see – and it's important to note, it's not like Mark didn't notice where the ointment was poured. It was quite clear that the second anointing was on the Head of Jesus. And it was a different anointing. There is a difference in anointing the Head or anointing the feet. Only prophets and kings were anointed on the Head. So this is a kingly anointing. And it took place in a significant house. It took place in the house of Simon the leper. This tells us that Jesus is in the midst of those who are going to be treated as lepers.

In the end times, in the time of the end, these ones are the bondslaves of the Lamb but there will be treated as lepers because they will not co operate with the new world order and the one world system that is poured out. The anointing on the head is important because this is a kingly anointing. The second portion of the double portion anointing is a kingly anointing. And you have to have a key understanding of the mind of Christ. This kingly anointing was applied in the house of Simon, the leper after Jesus had cleansed the temple, and after He had cursed the fig tree. On the eleventh of Aviv, Jesus cleansed the temple. On the twelfth of Aviv, the fig tree was seen to have died. And the 12th Aviv is the day of the anointing on the head of Jesus. He has spoken to the fig tree of religion and He says that it's no longer going to bear fruit. And that evening, there's a kingly anointing released from the Head of Jesus.

To walk in the kingly anointing in this time, you must be aligned to the Head and get all your instructions from the Head. He is the Truth. He walks in the path of the bondslave. We are in a time when we must follow the Lamb wherever He goes and get our instructions from the Head. You can't follow other people. Many are going to be part of the great falling away in the days ahead. What is the Head of the Body saying to you? Where is He leading you?

This kingly anointing is because Jesus is going to war. In spring, the kings go to war, and the month of Aviv is the month that spring begins. Jesus knows He is going to war against death and Hell and that victory is certain – although for a short season it will look like there is defeat. But He will see the fruit of the travail of His soul and rest satisfied; He will divide the spoil with the mighty. Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. In the days ahead, we are entering a time when that which is truth will be mocked, whipped, silenced and buried. But know this – truth has resurrection life and power. You can bury it, you can seal the tomb and scatter its followers, but it cannot be held down. It will rise and speak.

So,at this time. those who are bondslaves of the Lamb are being anointed for the journey towards the cross. Jesus was anointed with myrrh and aloes after His death, but before His death, a living sacrifice anointing was poured out upon him – a double portion of anointing! There will be people who are part of the Jesus crowd who will criticise you for pouring out your life and lavishing it on the One who is the way ,the truth and the life, but they do not have understanding of the times. You have to have a kingly anointing; an anointing on the head or mind to have understanding of the times in these days. And the sight of total surrender scares other people. It challenges their value systems and exposes their lack of faith.

When Jesus rode into Jerusalem, the people hailed him as a king. He rode into Jerusalem on the tenth of Aviv. They had no understanding that He was coming to lay His life down. Just like the lamb who was brought into the house in Egypt on the tenth of Aviv, it hadn't been brought into the house so that the children could become friends with the lamb. The lamb had been brought into the house for inspection in preparation to die.

When everywhere you look is filled with other reports and lies being called facts, your focus must be on Jesus. He is already seated and ruling, and the anointing being poured out in these days is both a priestly and kingly anointing. The kingly anointing is an anointing to go to war with the sword of Truth, but you are not wrestling with flesh and blood. so do not be tempted to respond in the flesh. Keep focused. Don't be distracted by the criticism of those around you. The kingly sword of His word has won many battles over the centuries. His Word is truth. War in the spirit with Heavenly strategy. Look at the strategy that Jesus fulfilled – it made no sense to the natural mind, but He understood exactly why He was walking this path. In fact, the word says if satan had known that He was going to be resurrected, he would not have crucified the Lord of glory. God's strategies in this season are hidden strategies; very wise strategies that the enemy does not understand. So when He tells you to do something, even if your natural mind thinks, "My goodness, this makes no sense at all", just be obedient. Walk in the path of a bondslave and do what the Head of the bondslave company is telling you to do. We have to walk out what has been written for our time. So pray for understanding of the times, so you know what to do.

Remember also, that part of the kingly anointing that Jesus displayed was that under persecution, when He was falsely accused, He opened not His mouth. but there were other times when He opened His mouth and spoke truth as He was released to do so by the Father. And for the joy set before him, He endured what He had to endure in the path that was appointed Him. We entering the season where we overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony and loving not our lives to death. And we also overcome by saying, "Father, forgive them, they do not know what they doing."

So a priestly bondslave Bride has a double portion anointing. It was poured out on Jesus in this week on the sixth day before Passover and on the second day before.  Remember that when the woman poured out the anointing on Jesus head on the second day before Passover, she was displaying an understanding of the times, because after two days, He was going to be crucified. but after another two days, He was going to be resurrected (on the 3rd day). Hosea 6 says 'after two days, He will revive us. And on the third day He will raise us up to dwell before His face. So let us be zealous to know Him, because His coming is prepared and as certain as the dawn, and He will come to us as the latter rain that waters the earth.

I really pray that you would be blessed by what I've shared. I really pray that the Holy Spirit would expand even more the revelation and the truth that I've shared. I pray that He would align it to the things He's been showing you already and that it would give you greater understanding, greater strength and greater fortitude to stand in the days ahead, as we walk as bondslaves of Him Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life – and He is also the resurrection and the life! Amen
